HALO approached Nottingham Spirk to address the needs of baby-safety innovations. I had the opportunity to be on the team exploring and innovating in this area. On our exploration list - a hot topic was Co-Sleeping. We decided to explore further, at the time there was not a market solution for this polarizing topic. How could we provide a safe, innovative, trustworthy solution that enables child to parent bonding and good rest? The solution became a disruptor to the market.
After gaining insights and feedback through the process, we designed a 360 degree pivoting bassinet with a sturdy, extending base. Parent and child can see each other through the breathable mesh and flexible rim to be able to reach in anytime to check on baby. Soothing sounds and vibrations help calm and ease the baby to rest and a light to help navigate if needed in middle of the night.
