Abbott approached our team at Nottingham-Spirk to innovate within the baby nutrition category- they wanted to send new moms’ home with something to encourage connection and nutrition. I had the opportunity to see this project through to market.
After market analysis, conducting research by going into homes and identifying behavior’s of new parent and pain points we developed a bottle system that encourages use of formula or breastmilk. This system addresses needs of tired, evening feedings with audible, visual and tactile response to sealing and mixing, a large soft nipple to mimic mothers’ breast and reduce air bubbles, an ergonomic bottle to encourage baby to hold when ready and an easy clean mixing wand for best nutrition. This system also had a storage cap for on the go and handles for sippy cups.

“I absolutely love this bottle! I have twins and other bottles that we used either leaked or made them gassy. This bottle helped so much with the gas! Other things I liked were that you can see the ounces clearly labeled on the side so it's easy to read (even in the middle of a sleep deprived night), and also when you put them together properly (which isn't hard) they don't leak at all and they are easy to clean.”
